Two ways, depending on what suits you.

Online. The fastest option is the airport-order form — pickup, drop-off, flight number, an SMS code, and you're done. Under a minute on a phone.

For pre-paid fixed-price transfers we ask for at least 12 hours' notice (Reykjavík time). Shorter than that and we still try — most arrivals at KEF can be covered within 15–20 minutes during normal hours.

Keflavík International Airport (KEF)

KEF (BIKF) is on the Reykjanes peninsula, about 50 km southwest of Reykjavík. The drive into the city normally takes 40–55 minutes — quicker outside rush hour, longer when there's snow on Reykjanesbraut. Almost every long-haul and European flight to Iceland lands here: Icelandair, PLAY, easyJet, Wizz Air, Lufthansa, SAS, Delta, and a handful of others.

How much is a taxi from Keflavík Airport to Reykjavík?

A sedan is 15.000 ISK (roughly $105). An SUV for up to four people is 18.000 ISK; a six-seat minivan is 24.000 ISK. The price is fixed at booking and includes road tolls, meet-at-arrivals, flight tracking and the standard 60 minutes of free waiting on airport pickups.

How long does the ride take?

40 to 55 minutes via Reykjanesbraut (Route 41), depending on weather and traffic. Hafnarfjörður and Kópavogur are slightly faster.

Is there a taxi at KEF in the middle of the night?

Yes. Dispatch runs 24/7, including all holidays. Late-night and early-morning pickups are at the same fixed price as daytime — there is no night surcharge.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Airport pickups include 60 minutes of free waiting from the scheduled pickup time. We track the flight by number and adjust toward the actual arrival wherever we can — though the booked time remains the primary reference under our terms. Make sure the flight number is correct on the booking, and contact us if you know in advance about a longer delay so we can reschedule.

Do I need to prepay?

No prepayment is required. You can pay online with a card during booking, or pay the driver in cash or by card after the ride. Available payment methods may vary by service type. Both options have the same fixed price.

Can I cancel or change the booking?

Yes. For airport transfers we ask for changes or cancellations at least 12 hours before the scheduled pickup time — within that window the booking is fully refundable (minus any payment-processor fees if you paid online). Cancellations less than 12 hours ahead are eligible for a 50% refund. Full details are in our terms.

Are child seats available?

Yes, child seats are provided free of charge — but they have to be requested in advance. Please mention the number and ages of children at the time of booking; we cannot guarantee a child seat that was not pre-requested.

Taxi or bus from Keflavík?

A bus drops you at the BSÍ terminal in Reykjavík, after which you usually need a second transfer to reach your hotel. A taxi goes door to door — no second hop, no luggage carrying. For two passengers or more it tends to come out about the same as bus + transfer, often less.

Can the airport taxi take me to the Blue Lagoon?
